Your girl is turning 30! Holy, guacamole, how time has flown by. In grade school, days felts like weeks, weeks felt like years, and a full year felt like an eternity. Now, days feel like hours and years feel like months.
I’m turning thirty and I could not be more excited! I’ve talked to so many women in their forties and fifities+ that say,
“Thirties for women is the start of something great. We no longer feel insecure, we have a little bit of wisdom, self-love, self-awareness and it’s a perfect time to start living in the moment and being more mindful.”
It rings true as I go into my third decade. In my twenty-somethings, I was an insecure, emotional, young woman. Now, I’m in love with my changing body, I think I’m one of the best people I know (inside and out) and have overcome many obstacles that seemed like mountains at the time. Yet here I stand, in love with who I am and whom I’m becoming every day.
Now that I’ll be 30, I thought, what a perfect time to guide myself through the next decade through a quick tarot reading. I’m by no means an expert, but I do believe in the personal development and guidance the cards can present.
I’m personally most practiced in the three card layout. This layout can be used for many different questions/guidance, such as:
- You/Your Path/Your Potential
- Etc. (find even more ways here)
The particularly incredible part about Tarot is every reading (for myself & friends) is always scary on point. It’s always been spot-on the (moment or) question I desired knowledge for. For this three card reading, I’m using the spread as:
“Guidance for being successful in my thirties.”
With my guidance for being successful in my thirties playing loud and clear in my head, over and over and over, as I shuffled the cards, this is what I received.
1. Five of Cups (reversed) 2. Queen of Swords (reversed) 3. Nine of Cups
Strengths: The Five of Cups
The reversed meaning signifies healing that has come about, especially emotionally. In the past, I’ve had little trust in myself, relationships, or my future. Because of such a lack of trust in others and myself, I’ve suffered emotional instability. Leaving me emotionally drained and frustrated. Now, I’ve let go of the past that hurts me, finding confidence in myself. I have strong faith in my abilities, and as I transition into this new decade, I’m full of positivity and hope.
Weaknesses: Queen of Swords
The Queen of Swords was shown reversed, which means ruthlessness in many ways. I’m full of ego and a bit self-obsessed, leading to mental anxieties. While I’m ambitious, I’m also fearful, and may not be completely honest with myself (or others) to confront these issues.
Advice: Nine of Cups
The Nine of Cups is known as the “wish” card of the Tarot. You receive your wish with this card. Love is present in all areas of life. Self-confidence is the time now, as your intuition is good. Good health is also present and security leads the way, both financially and emotionally. It’s a time to enjoy life, receive good news, and express yourself creatively. Live the life you’ve always dreamed of.
I love Tarot.
SHUT THE FRONT DOOOOOOOR! Um, Hello! I will take it! It’s actually insane how much each card speaks volumes of my psyche, laid right out in the front of me in the classic beauty of the Rider Tarot Deck.
As I start my very first business, the Periapt, and I continue to follow my heart on becoming a published writer, I find more and more, I’m living the life I’ve always dreamed of. Financial gains must not be far off the horizon, as I pursue the essence of passion.
